March 10, 2010 — Software developer CloudLinux Inc. announced that virtual private server hosting provider VPS.NET will begin to offer CloudLinux as one of the standard Linux operating systems on all of its elastic and instantly scalable cloud hosting offerings.

Denver hosting and colocation provider, PeakColo, announced their recent completion of the SAS-70 Type I certification with Type II scheduled for completion in September of this year. The Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 is widely recognized across industries as it represents that a service provider has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and activities including controls over information technology. PeakColo successfully demonstrated that they have better-than-adequate controls and safeguards in place for hosted customer data, transaction processing and their IT infrastructure in general.
